Here’s how it works. The giant pharmaceutical companies are funding the WHO. It’s called investment. To be sure they get their money back, the pharmas need a health panic. The WHO finds one every year. Last year it was Avian flu, this year it’s Swine flu. There is, naturally, an influenza break out every year. There always has been. There have always been mutations. Some dangerous, most not. But the panic has to be believable, so the new flu strains, every year, are pumped up by the WHO.

This results in massive amounts of money being poured back into the Pharmaceutical industry, every year, for the purchase of flu medication, needed or not. This is the return the pharmas need to continue to make enormous profits with which to fund the WHO, who, in return, create the next panic to ensure their income.

This is called symbiosis. Both need each other to survive.

If the panic is not shown to be justified, then other measures have to be used. The third world hasn’t been able to buy enough of the meds to bolster the Pharmaceutical industry’s profits during the present financial “crisis”. What a shame. The big pharmas need every penny they can get, so what does one do? One ramps it up to the WHO’s big brother.

Simple really. The west will have to pay more but how can they get us to shell out more for what we already have enough of? Roll out the guilt trip and see who jumps on board.

I wouldn’t mind, but Swine flu isn’t that deadly anyway compared to regular flu.

Pandemic my ass.

If I can see we’re being duped, why can’t the idiots that demand my tax money see it too?

I can’t help but wonder what the hell is wrong with the present laws and rules we have concerning those people who come to this land seeking asylum. We spend a lot of time and money supporting this bureaucratic industry that has become the Refugee Council which has, as it’s sole purpose, to decide who gets in and who doesn’t. Most that come here, get in. The EU has seen to that. Some, however, after an extensive, exhausting and often elongated period of discovery and investigation, don’t. They are deemed not to be in need of asylum. They may appeal. They usually always do. Some win the appeal. Others don’t. This process can go on and on, as long as there is a wide mouthed lawyer willing to take the case, all the way to the highest courts in the land. My taxes finance it. Lawyers get rich on it. I pay the bill along with everyone else who actually works in this land.

Finally for some, the options are exhausted. They are refused asylum. After years of heaving to and fro, hours of legal process, hearings and what not, they are deemed unworthy. Even though everyone had their day in court.

What happens then? Well, nothing. They refuse to leave and so I get to pay the bill again. They are enclosed in what we laughingly call refugee camps but which are really a form of open prison where one can come and go as one pleases and are looked after by the state. I’m still paying the bill.

Finally, after a long and often extended period, they are to be sent out of this land.
I get to pay for that too.

Or do they?

No. Not all of them.

Some disappear into the surrounding environment. We call it going underground. Illegal entry and immigration is what it really is. Some occupy churches and seek religious asylum or whatever it may be called. We don’t like raiding churches for some reason and priests don’t seem to mind their churches being occupied. Some even encourage it. I call it harbouring illegal immigrants, which is, by the way, illegal here in Denmark.

This happened recently. 35 Iraqis, all denied asylum have been occupying a church in Copenhagen. Finally, after about six weeks of asking nicely and being refused, the police went in and took them.

Huge uproar from the left. Huge protests from the anarchist youth. Big fight outside the church, started by same anarchist left wing youth. More bloody lawyers, more bloody inquests and demands for a further trial by the refugee council for each of the 35 illegals. Guess who pays that bill?
The left, apparently, can’t accept the findings of our legal system or have no respect for the law.

A delegation from Iraq came to formally identify the said 35 Iraqis. 34 are now positively identified as being fit for return to that country.

Some are still demanding more time to, once again, go through the vetting process for all of them, individually.

I say no. This has to stop.

We are doing it wrong. This shouldn’t go on for years. Once finally found unfit for asylum, these people should be placed under arrest the same day, securely imprisoned and then deported back to wherever they came from at the earliest convenience. It’s time to stop the pussyfooting around at my expense.

They had their chance. They had all the available help and support they could have needed. They were heard, examined, checked and investigated at huge expense and with all the help that could be offered and still , it wasn’t enough. Their case just simply didn’t hold water.

Ignoring that and allowing them to stay here is an insult to our laws, legal system and, not least of all, my wallet. Having no right to be here must mean just that.

There have been 800 confirmed deaths in the world related to swine flu as of Tuesday afternoon. But another virus has killed thousands of people since January and is expected to keep killing hundreds of people every week for the rest of the year.

Hmm..? Ebola? Plague? Black Death? No. Just plain old ordinary influenza. So what’s all the fuss about? I figure it this way. The WHO has to justify it’s existence somehow and the annual "new strain of influenza that is going to wipe out humanity" scare is one of them.
In the meantime, worldwide, the annual death toll from the flu (the ordinary, boring, not to be concerned about, flu) is estimated to be between 250,000 and 500,000. The blessed and un-do-without-able-lest-we-all-perish WHO doesn’t seem to be the least bit interested. Which makes one wonder.

Mind you, we have known about ordinary influenza for donkeys years. It came to us naturally. Whereas, in contrast to ordinary flu, it cost billions of dollars to discover swine flu and give it an inappropriate name. The pharmaceutical companies are earning billions of dollars developing vaccines for it too. I guess that’s progress for you. The power of money never ceases to amaze me.

The USA is particularly stricken with the swine flu fever. Not the disease fever, but the “fear of getting it” fever. Some are attempting to placate the trembling masses. From CNN;

Seeking to put the swine flu outbreak in perspective Tuesday, Los Angeles County public health officer Dr. Jonathan Fielding echoed other public officials calling it "cause for concern, but not for alarm."

"Given the size of L.A. County, given the traffic between here and Mexico, it would be very surprising if we didn’t have any cases," Fielding said.

He said the county, where the CDC had confirmed 10 cases of swine flu by Tuesday, sees more than 1,000 flu-related deaths every year.

"So it would also not be surprising if there were deaths with swine flu — even if it had the pattern of seasonal flu," he said. "Thus far, the pattern we see in the United States is very similar to that of seasonal flu — relatively mild to moderate cases."

Didn’t you just know that? I hereby call the panic off. You can all rest easy. Unless you get the real flu. You know, the ordinary, boring, totally not dangerous flu. The cheap and cheerful one. Then you might really be in trouble.

But don’t mention it to the WHO.

Wouldn’t want to be accused of scare mongering. Would you?

Not being terribly impressed of late by African governments, I was particularly encouraged by a report published in the Timesonline and equally discouraged by the response by the lefty loudmouths that apparently have little or no regard for the greater good of the people of Nigeria, From the article;

Nigerian security forces claimed victory yesterday over a radical Islamic sect blamed for some of the worst violence to rock the West African country for years after police shot dead its leader.
While police said that he died in a shootout human rights campaigners have alleged that he had been executed without due process and warned of revenge attacks to come.

Good. Summary execution is about the only justice that can be meted out to these taleban imitators who kill, maim and defile an otherwise peaceful population. Once they go the way of oppressive religious madness, they drop all pretence of respect for anyone’s human rights apart from their own. Mohammed Yusuf, leader of the so-called Nigerian Taleban, was killed after he was captured on Thursday night. His organisation, Boko Haram, (School is forbidden) have been dishing out their vile and evil form of Sharia for too long as it is. Where were the human rights bastards while all that was going on? Hiding their heads in their plush New York offices, I daresay. No outrage, no outcry, no human rights for those that Yusuf was killing.

The New York-based Human Rights Watch called for an investigation. “The Nigerian authorities must act immediately to hold to account all those responsible for this unlawful killing and any others associated with the recent violence in northern Nigeria,” Corinne Dufka, its senior West Africa researcher, said.

Why? What possible good could be gained from an inquiry into the summary execution of this madman with a gun and his bunch of equally insane followers? And just who are these Boko Haram assholes?

The militant group led by Yusuf, a militant cleric who professed admiration for Osama bin Laden, has been blamed for days of violent unrest in which hundreds of people died in clashes between his followers and security forces. The authorities collected hundreds of bodies from the streets of Maiduguri, the base of the cleric and his diehard followers, consisting mainly of unemployed university students.

Unemployed University students? How could they possibly support something calling for the destruction of books and schools? Maybe these universities are simple madrassas with a curriculum consisting of the koran and the AK47.

The following footnote from the article says more about Yusuf than I could. 

Yusuf had encouraged his followers to rid themselves of all material wealth while he was chauffeured around in a Mercedes all-terrain vehicle and amassed dozens of vehicles at his compound.

But of course, he was only motivated by his religious beliefs. Obviously. Good riddance to this piece of human excrement. Nigeria has got to be a better place for his demise.

Well it had to happen. What with virgins appearing all over the place, the big fella had to put in an appearance sooner or later.

Remember the virgin on the baking tray? Well, here’s Jesus on something similar. Or so I’m told. Personally I think it’s Mohammed, but since there’s been no muslim outcry yet, I am going with the original claim. After all, we don’t want another motoon crisis on our hands, do we?

Mind you, it could just be a greasy spot, but what do I know?

I found this in the Timesonline and I wondered; Are these really the kind of people we want in our society?

A young Muslim woman has been warned by police that her life is in danger after a male friend lost his tongue in an alleged assault using acid in an apparent “honour attack”.

The Danish Asian man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after an incident in Leytonstone, East London, three weeks ago. Sulphuric acid is said to have been thrown in his face and he was stabbed twice in the back.

The 24-year-old, being treated in a specialist unit in Essex, is now blind, his tongue has been destroyed and he suffered 90 per cent burns.

The woman, who claims the relationship is an innocent friendship, and the man live in the Asian community of East London, where their relationship is said to have upset her family for bringing dishonour on them.

Be careful who you choose as your friends. Wouldn’t want to upset any of these animals would you?

The police have apparently been busy though:

Two men, aged 19 and 25, are due to appear before Waltham Forest Magistrates today, charged with the attempted murder of the 24-year-old man on July 2, 2009. Both men are said to be related to the woman, one is understood to be her brother.

Five men have been arrested and bailed “pending further inquiries” by police.

At the time of the attack a police source said: “It looks like this gang set out to deliberately target this man. They were dressed in masks and gloves so none of the acid would get on them.”

I feel culturally enriched.

A quick look at the headlines and my spontaneous reaction to them…

North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Jong Il, is suffering from life-threatening cancer of the pancreas.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke.

Chinese police today shot dead two Uighur men and wounded a third in the first official report of the use of firearms to quell unrest in the western, mainly Muslim region where a riot last week left 184 people dead.

Britain became the first country to halt arms exports to Israel in response to its Gaza offensive.

Britain’s government should be ashamed of itself.

El Niño, the warming of the Pacific Ocean that creates chaos in global weather patterns, is on its way back, threatening droughts, floods, crop failure and social unrest.

Personally, I’m looking forward to some good weather.

The sister of Michael Jackson has accused members of his entourage of effectively “murdering” the singer for his money.

Oh. What a shame. How sad. Never mind.

A 27-year-old Spanish man was gored to death by a bull at the traditional running of the bulls festival in Pamplona, northern Spain, on Friday, the first such fatality since 1995.

Go bulls! Serves the animal torturing bastard right.

It’s been over 2 years since I saw a report on the image of the virgin Mary showing up on a baking tin. It would appear that the phenomenon of virgin spotting, for the good of the Catholics among us, is still alive and well and has now spread (once again) to Ireland.

(Historical digression: The last time that Ireland experienced anything similar was during its last recession in 1985, when a “moving” statue drew tens of thousands to Ballinspittle, Co Cork.)

Now, back to the latest:

Limerick, of all places.
(You know Limerick, birthplace of the witty and often slightly risqué rhyme, consisting of five lines.)
And now home to a newly appeared virgin Mary in, of all places, a tree trunk.

She “appeared” after someone had cut down a willow tree. Instantly spotting the holy virgin mother, he dutifully fell to his knees and proclaimed it a true picture of “our blessed lady”. This sort of thing obviously stops all further tree clearance.

In fact,  almost 2,000 people have signed a petition to prevent the stump’s removal and hundreds of worshippers have been gathering to recite decades of the rosary and light candles.

Remarkable. A few hundred years ago, anyone dancing and worshipping round a tree would have been burned at the stake by the catholic church for witchcraft. Times have changed.

The 2,000 faithful petitioners have little backing from their local priest though.

Father Willie Russell, the parish priest, said: “There’s nothing there, it’s just a tree. You can’t worship a tree. A tree is a tree. A person with imagination is a person with imagination.”

He said that there was no harm in people praying at the stump but added: “I don’t believe in idolatry, that would be the danger.”

Again, remarkable. Go into any catholic church and you will see idols all over the place. They are called statues of the virgin. Maybe this one just isn’t fancy enough for this particular priest.
Memories of Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” come back to me as I picture 2,000 good Irishmen pointing at this upstart priest and yelling, “Unbeliever!”.

Seamus Hogan, spokesman for the 2,000 pious petitioners, had this to say;

“People have been coming from Clare and Kerry to see this tree, which we believe shows a clear outline of Our Lady.”

…while the official response is a little more, how should I say, guarded?

Father Paul Finnerty, the spokesman for the Limerick Diocese, said: “The Church’s response to phenomena of this type is one of great scepticism. While we do not wish in any way to detract from devotion to Our Lady, we would also wish to avoid anything which might lead to superstition.”

Now that is truly awesome. The church wishing to “avoid anything which might lead to superstition”.

A bit of an oxymoron if ever I heard one.

One of the first lessons I learned as a young soldier, which was a long time ago I must admit, was that one should know one’s enemy. Learn what he does, how he thinks and how he acts. Having been subjected to a constant barrage of islamic atrocities over the last thirty years, starting with Arafat and his cronies, I think, at least, I know who my enemy is. In my attempts to learn his ways and manner of action I sometimes venture off to the strangest places to  read what they are saying about the world in general.

On my latest foray into the enemy camp, I found this heartening news concerning the Netherlands from the Muslim News, UK.

The Netherlands: Many Muslims want to leave due to Wilders

Netherlands, (Dutch News):

The rise in support for anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders means many Dutch Muslims are considering emigrating, according to a poll for NCRV tv.

While 75% of Dutch Muslims said they still feel at home in the Netherlands, 57% say they feel less welcome, the poll shows, according to the Telegraaf. And 51% are thinking more often about leaving.

In addition, 75% feel they are judged more negatively since the rise of Wilders and four out of 10 say they are more often discriminated against.

Aw. Poor sods. Doesn’t that just make you feel awful awfully good about the future. I can’t help wondering about where the unwelcome muslims are planning on emigrating to, but hopefully, it won’t be another European country. Since we don’t know how the figures mentioned above were derived, one can only hope that they are accurate.
I couldn’t help noticing that 75% felt that they were “at home” and yet insistent that they are “judged more negatively since the rise of Wilders” and “ more often discriminated against.”

Amazing. The power of one. What we really need then, is a few more Geert Wilders.

The article ends with the usual muslim warning that we are all used to by now, although it hasn’t been discussed anywhere openly in the MSM:

“The rise of Wilders’ PVV party, which emerged as the biggest in Rotterdam after the European elections, means that a growing group of second and third generation immigrants do not feel welcome and a small but growing group are turning to radical Islam.”

In plain English:

“See, if you people keep demanding your country back, we’ll all go fundamental on you, and you know what that means..!”

In the meantime, I’m crossing my fingers for the Netherlands and cheering for Geert.
