On the Wing

Flying in the face of widespread left wing extremism!

The enemy within.

The Uk is, as we all know by now, on a heightened state of alert after the disruption of some monster plot by Islamic terrorists to blow up a dozen or so aircraft. This massive upgrading of airport security and the following chaos caused by just that can only be seen as a bit of a set-back for us and somewhere in the world there is some arab terror boss saying, “We have scored a great victory. See how they are afraid”.
OK, let’s get real. The UK police have a number of people in custody. I don’t believe they just happened to just come together one evening in a pakistani tea club and decide to execute such a plan. They must have been organised somehow by someone. Ergo: we have to find that organisation, and crush it. Seems easy enough unless you don’t know who leads the organisation or where that organisation is based. And that is probably what is occupying the police in the UK right now.
I can’t help wondering then, what is going on in the US of A, where they know of one terrorist organisation, know its leader, know its whereabouts, its recruiting centres and avenues, but still allow it to exist?

I am thinking of the Jamaat al-Fuqra.

Now I know that they have attracted some attention from The Gates of Vienna. The good Baron has blogged about them many times before, and I hope he will excuse me perhaps pre-empting him here, but I found a startling article in the WorldNetDaily that seems to say, Jamaat al Fuqra is not even under observation. Surprising really, when they are linked very clearly with Al-queda, Hezbollah and several “home-grown” terrorists.

Amid heightened security after Hezbollah threats and the foiled UK plot, an independent investigator of the Oklahoma City bombing contends a terrorist network allied with the Lebanese group and al-Qaida – allegedly responsible for more attacks on U.S. soil in the past 20 years than any other terrorist organization – remains a danger because of neglect by U.S. authorities.

Jamaat al-Fuqra, a Pakistani-based group with thousands of American members, has worked closely with Hezbollah, al-Qaida, Hamas and others on attacks in the U.S. – including the bombings of the World Trade Center in 1993, Oklahoma City’s Murrah Federal Building in 1995 and the 9-11 attacks – but remains conspicuously absent from the State Department’s terrorist list, asserts Oklahoma-based researcher Patrick Briley.

Which all seems a bite strange to me. If they are, or have been, proven to have the aforesaid connections with the 9/11 attack, Murrah Fed., and the 1993 bombing, how are they still in business? And more surprising, they aren’t on the “watch” list?
I hear or read an awful lot on the blog comments round and about concerning the dhimmification of Europe, but how does one figure this? It gets worse. They have apparently, formed their own “state within the states”. Read on:

Al-Fuqra openly recruits through various social service organizations in the U.S., including the prison system. Members live in compounds where they agree to abide by the laws of Jamaat al-Fuqra, which are considered to be above local, state and federal authority.

The group has been known to recruit disaffected young men to carry out U.S. terror attacks, including blacks, white supremacists, illegal immigrants and Native Americans as well as inmates.

(My emphasis. Exile.)

Well, if all this is known, why hasn’t anybody reacted yet? Perhaps the explanation is to be found here:

State Department spokeswoman Rhonda Shore, who handles counterterrorism issues, said she had not heard of al-Fuqra. Shore said she would try to find out why the terrorist group is not on the State Department’s list.

Incompetent? Indifferent? Or just plain ignorant?

Perhaps some of my american readers can enlighten me. Before the next 9/11.
