On the Wing

Flying in the face of widespread left wing extremism!

Crass stupidity is hard to find.

And yet, it still exists…

I do try to keep a level head when I surf round the internet and study the news and articles that give me a little inspiration. One of the places I visit is Worldnetdaily and they are usually reasonable about things. They are reviewing their affiliate magazine, “Whistleblower” today, and pinpoint the articles discussing this “9/11 was an inside job” theory.

Here’s a bag of spanners if ever I saw one.

With a shocking new poll showing a third of Americans believe the U.S. government was complicit in the Sept. 11 terror attacks, WND’s acclaimed Whistleblower magazine is taking on the controversial issue of alternative 9/11 theories.
Almost immediately after the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, the theories started emerging: 4,000 Jews had supposedly been warned to stay home from the World Trade Center that day; Flight 93 had been shot down over Pennsylvania by the U.S. military; George W. Bush’s delay in ending his visit with elementary school students when told of the World Trade Center attacks signaled that perhaps he had prior knowledge of the events; and on and on.

Before long these and countless other theories attracted a wide following, as bloggers and other online “9/11 truth” seekers laid out their alternative analyses of that fateful day’s events, many claiming the worst domestic terror attack in U.S. history was an “inside job.”

So there we have it. The then newly elected George W. Bush took a few days off, rallied his troops and made his first priority the destruction of the twin towers. I can hear the conversation now:
“OK fellas. Thanks for comin’. We’re gonna kill thousands of americans next week. Get on the horn, and get me a few airplanes to crash into the Pentagon, the World Trade Center and the White House.”
“Yessir, Mr. President, Sir.”
“And get me Osama bin Laden on the blower, I want him to take credit for the attack I’m planning.”
“Yessir, Mr. President, Sir.”
“Warn all the Jewish folks not to go near the WTC on the nineth.. I don’t want to goo-goo-da-joos.”
“Yessir, Mr. President, Sir.”
“Don’t tell anyone about this”.
“NoSir, Mr. President, Sir.”

“Is this the biggest load of crap you ever heard?”
“Yessir, Mr. Exile, Sir.”

What kind of idiot would ever, ever, believe such utter nonsense?

But maybe this would explain why we can’t seem to find OBL.
Now I know why.
“He ain’t hidin’ in Pakistan, man. He livin’ in a condo in LA. Nice man, smart threads, clean shaven. Got a real cool guv’mint pension an’ all. Wears a US lapel pin on his duds.”

Believe it?

“Nosir, Mr. Exile, Sir.”

No. Neither do I.

I have serious doubts that 1/3 of Americans believe that our President was involved in this. I would like to see the polling data including the exact questions asked and see what the results really were. It is probably closer to 5-10% if that high.

Were it only one percent, it is still too high. To believe that the elected leaders of a country would engineer the deaths of thousands of its own citzens is nothing short of ridiculous.

Which is probably why I ridicule them!

BTW, nice to have a new commentator.
