On the Wing

Flying in the face of widespread left wing extremism!

The new face of Sweden?

Posted by Exile on October 22, 2006

It wasn’t so long ago that Sweden took the right turn in it’s politics with the election of a more right than left wing government. I have been keeping an eye on Sweden just to see how things would begin to change, or not, as the case may be. Strangely enough, the Swedish cabinet chose a muslim woman as the new “Integration and Equality” minister. I thought then, this can’t be good. But surprise, surprise. She’s got off to a flying start.
This from, of all places, the Times of London:

The latest media darling of Scandinavian politics is not only black, beautiful and Muslim; she is also firmly against the wearing of the veil.
Nyamko Sabuni, 37, has caused a storm as Sweden’s new integration and equality minister by arguing that all girls should be checked for evidence of female circumcision; arranged marriages should be criminalised; religious schools should receive no state funding; and immigrants should learn Swedish and find a job.

Bravo. Now that’s my kind of woman! How much success she will have with this, before being shot dead on the street like Oluf Palme, is going to be interesting to see. Somehow I can’t see the Swedish muslims taking this lying down and I wonder how long it will be before Malmö and Stockholm start burning “a la Paris”.
It would be nice to see Sweden taking back it’s land and culture.
How can it be, that it takes a muslim woman to lead the way?

I suggest everyone read the article here.

What an exaggerator! You posted on Sabuni one day before I did.

Were we in a contest for who got there first? Next time let me know, old bean.
