One Man’s Meat…

Quoted directly from the Copenhagen Post:

Wrecking crews have begun demolishing the building hundreds of young people have been fighting to save.
After standing on the corner of Nørrebrogade and Jagtvej for over a century, the building at Jagtvej 69, and which has been witness to important historical events, is to end its days as a pile of rubble. Demolition of the four-storey edifice, built in 1897, and which most recently was the home of the Ungdomshuset youth centre began at 8 am Monday morning. After the residents of the building were evicted Thursday, police urged it to be demolished ‘as quickly as possible’, to prevent protesters from attempting to retake it.
Young people looking on said the destruction marked ‘a black day’ in the history of the left wing in Denmark.

Well, it cheered me up no end!

Good riddance.
