On the Wing

Flying in the face of widespread left wing extremism!

And so to Warsaw

Posted by Exile on March 20, 2008

I’m off to visit the river Wista for the weekend. Like most of the major European rivers, this one too has it’s large cities. The most famous on the Wista is Warsaw. I don’t know what to expect. I have heard that a great deal of Warsaw is either under reconstruction or has been reconstructed. I have heard that parts of the old town are still there. Stalin built some great palace of a government building and others have followed since then. I will be visiting the barbican castle at the gates of Warsaw. I’m sure there is more of historical interest.

To make the whole relaxation thing worthwhile, we will be staying at a little place called the Warsaw Hilton. I understand it’s a good hotel even though it does belong to some global chain store type organisation. I believe there is room service.

See you all after Easter. Don’t do anything silly while I’m gone.
